50 Minute Sessions
These sessions provide time to address specific memories or issues, allowing for processing and healing to begin. This format is best for clients who prefer a steady, paced approach to their healing journey. It allows for regular, consistent progress while reducing overwhelm related to the intensity of the process. 50-90 minutes is not always enough time to process one memory in one session and this treatment takes longer than intensive EMDR.
In person and virtual available.
50 minute session: $200
90 minute session: $360

Intensives
EMDR intensives are focused sessions designed to accelerate the healing process. This type of therapy begins with an initial assessment session and then intensive processing sessions which typically last 2-3 hours. It may take multiple sessions to complete processing. Finally, we will meet for a follow up session to make sure you have met your goals.
This format is ideal for clients who want to make significant progress in a shorter time frame. This can be a good option for clients with busy schedules, clients who are already doing talk therapy and want to add on focused trauma work, or people looking for rapid relief.
Your individualized treatment plan and recommended number of sessions will be discussed during your initial intake session.
An intensive includes the following:
90 Minute Initial Assessment Session
2-3 Hour Intensive Session
60 Minute Follow Up Session
Half Day Intensive Package: $1,800
What type of session is right for me?
The right length and frequency of EMDR sessions depend on multiple factors including your specific needs, goals and preferences. Here are some things to keep in mind:
Severity of Trauma
People with complex or significant trauma histories may benefit from longer, more intensive sessions to fully process their experiences.
Time Availability
Are you able to take time to do a chunk of work in an intensive format? This can result in less overall time in therapy, but may require some planning to accommodate several hours away from work, home, etc. Or do you prefer consistent therapy on a regular schedule?
Financial Considerations
Insurance will not typically cover sessions over 60 minutes long. Time after the first 60 minutes of intensive sessions will not be reimbursable and will be an out of pocket expense for clients. This may be a factor for clients, though it is important to remember that with longer sessions, progress will be swifter and may require less time in therapy.
Emotional Tolerance
EMDR can be exhausting-your brain is working hard to process information and heal. Some clients may find extended sessions overwhelming and prefer the gradual approach of standard sessions, while others may thrive in the immersive environment of intensives.
Therapeutic Goals
Clients with specific, short-term goals might find intensives provide the results they are looking for more quickly, while those seeking ongoing support may prefer the consistency of regular sessions.

What is EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a structured therapy that encourages the client to focus briefly on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements), which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and intensity of emotion associated with the trauma memories. EMDR therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms. Ongoing research also supports EMDR as an effective approach for treating anxiety, depression, and other distressing life experiences.
